General description

This Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Varnish provides ultimate clear protection for valued wooden floors, enhancing and prolonging their natural beauty. Ideal for areas with heavy foot traffic, it offers long-lasting protection against everyday knocks, scuffs, and spills. With a low odour formula, it ensures your home won't smell of varnish for days.

Installation

Ensure the room temperature is above 10 degrees Celsius.

Remove furniture and open doors and windows for ventilation.

For unvarnished floors, sand along the length of the floorboards with 120 grit sandpaper.

For varnished floors, lightly sand with 120 grit sandpaper; if old varnish is flaking, sand back to bare wood.

Wipe the floor down with white spirit after sanding.

Apply the varnish using a 4” brush, starting in the corner furthest from the door.

Wait two hours between coats, lightly sanding with 240 grit sandpaper before the third coat.

Your floor will be ready to walk on in two hours and can have furniture replaced after 24 hours.

After 72 hours, the floor will be diamond hard.

Usage

Suitable for interior use on new or previously varnished wooden floors.

Can be vacuumed and swept after 72 hours without causing damage.

For cleaning, use a damp microfiber cloth to remove surface stains and scuffs.

Brushes can be cleaned easily with warm soapy water.

Other information

If scratches or damage occur, cover with three coats of varnish or use a Scratch Repair Kit for easy fixes.
