I bought too small base for my parasol so never used it. But for small umbrellas it would be good and will do the job.

Realise is an inexpensive base but still disappointed. may be fine if plan to use with a table but not for free standing parasol. when filled base a good weight but attachment to stand parasol in is very flimsey. sways in even light breeze and cannot imagine it lasting long.
