Our Wire Rope Grips are designed for use with 6MM wire rope, making them ideal for applications such as boat rigging, public areas, and various lifting purposes. The grips are zinc plated, providing excellent corrosion resistance and durability.

  • Installation

  • Ensure installation is performed by a qualified person.
  • Prior to fitting, grease the threads on the nuts and bolts.
  • Maintain a spacing between grips of at least 6 times the diameter of the rope.
  • Orient the grip correctly, placing the 'U' bolt on the unloaded end of the rope.
  • Tighten each nut evenly and in turn to achieve the recommended torque settings.
  • Leave unused for 24 hours and check the torque setting again, re-tightening if necessary.
  • After the first application of the load, re-check the torque setting and re-tighten if necessary.
  • Periodically check the torque setting during service.
