General description

This Barn Owl Nest Box is designed to provide a safe and comfortable roost and nest site for Barn Owls. It is fully manufactured from exterior grade plywood and treated with a non-toxic water-based wood preservative. The box features a sturdy front platform for owlets to exercise on and a generous weather canopy that protects the entrance hole and landing platform from harsh weather conditions. This product is a result of collaboration with the Barn Owl Trust and other experts, ensuring it meets the needs of these iconic birds.

Installation

  • Barn Owl boxes need to be cleaned out periodically to prevent the accumulation of pellets and debris.
  • This box features a double inspection hatch allowing full access to the floor area for easy cleaning or inspection from either side.
  • Both hatches are designed to prevent rain from entering and are securely held in position with simple fastenings.
