The Eco Barn Owl Nest Box is designed in collaboration with the Barn Owl Trust, utilizing advanced features to enhance safety and comfort for barn owls. Made primarily from 100% recycled plastic, this nesting box includes a wooden floor to keep the nest dry and requires no maintenance, ensuring a long life expectancy. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, providing a safe roosting and nesting site for barn owls.

  • Installation

  • For indoor use, mount the box at least 3 meters high, ideally near the apex of a roof with sufficient ventilation.
  • For outdoor use, the box should be at least 4.5 meters high, preferably in a shaded area to minimize overheating.
  • Face the box away from prevailing winds to reduce rain entry.
  • Use a separate fixing bracket (not provided) for secure attachment to a tree or wall, allowing the box to hook onto the bracket.
  • Additional stabilizing bracket at the base to secure the box in place.
  • Usage

  • Adult owls can perch on the roof, front platform, or two side perches.
  • Young owls can exercise on the textured roof or front platform.
  • The integrated side access hatch allows for easy cleaning and monitoring by licensed specialists.
