Description

General description

Dulux Trade Weathershield Preservative Primer + (BP) penetrates into wood to seal and preserve against water damage, decay, and blue stain fungi. It provides 8 years of weathering durability when used as part of the full Weathershield exterior paint system.

Technical specifications

  • Finish: Matt
  • Coverage: Up to 5m² per litre
  • Drying Time: 16-24 hours
  • Composition: Water-based

    • Installation

  • Application: Brush only (do not spray)
  • MIX THOROUGHLY BY SHAKING THE CONTAINER BEFORE USE
  • Pour out a sufficient amount of primer into a suitable container
  • Do not thin
  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any surface coating, mould, or algae before use
  • Use pre-treated timber for in-ground contact situations
  • Apply two even coats
  • Allow 24 hours for the second coat to dry
  • Lightly sand before applying Weathershield Exterior Flexible Undercoat or Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Undercoat
