Description

General description

This is a high-quality silicone sealant designed for sanitary and high-humidity areas. It cures quickly to form a permanently flexible, waterproof seal. The sealant contains a fungicide to prevent mold growth and is suitable for sealing around baths, showers, basins, worktops, and window frames. It can also be used as an adhesive for PVC trims and panels, as well as for general weatherproofing applications.

Compatibility and accessories

Suitable for use on glass, metal, aluminium, PVCu, timber, and laminates

Priming may be required on porous surfaces; test a small area first

Use with standard sealant guns and appropriate nozzles

Installation

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and dust-free before application

Remove old sealant, loose coatings, and flaking materials

Clean glass, metal, and aluminium with a solvent cleaner for better adhesion

Prime porous surfaces if necessary

Cut the cartridge tip at an angle of 45°, ensuring the opening is slightly larger than the gap

Apply sealant evenly with a sealant gun, maintaining consistent pressure and angle

Smooth the sealant within 10 minutes using a wetted spatula or piece of wood

For a cleaner finish, apply masking tape on both sides of the joint and remove within 5 minutes

Sealing around baths, showers, basins, worktops, and window frames

As an adhesive for PVC trims and panels

General weatherproofing and waterproof sealing in high humidity areas

Other information

Not suitable for use with bitumen, asphalt, or highly porous surfaces like new concrete or stonework without priming

Avoid contact with soft metals such as lead or brass; use appropriate sealants

Not overpaintable; for overpainting, use Weather Mate

Tested to ISO 8339 and ISO 10590/10563

Bought this after trying to find a match for a beige sealant put in c 12 years ago. After trying screw fix - which was miles away from beige (despite the pack colour being spot on the sealant was a horrible milky coffee colour); I went around all the plumbing merchants in town to be told ‘we only do white, clear or grey’. Took a risk with this and it looks good - it is beige/sand in colour and goes down well; pleased overall (& I’ll check the reviews first before ordering from Screwfix again - every one is complaining their beige is coffee coloured).

Hello, Super product, applicable on degraded or rusty paint. By rubbing a little to remove and allow the paint to stick. Apply outdoors for 5 years it does not move. Nice hammered effect that hides the imperfections of the support. Well the big less is the price. To clean the equipment the white does not work very well and it is better to take the thinner of the same brand which is super expensive but effective in cleaning. Finally satisfied with the product
