General description

Liberon Natural Finish Floor Varnish Clear Satin is a hard-wearing and long-lasting varnish designed for soft and hardwood flooring, as well as laminate surfaces. It maintains the natural feel and look of the timber while providing a highly resistant finish against scratches and stains. This water-based varnish is non-yellowing and quick-drying, making it an ideal choice for interior applications.

Installation

Prepare the surface by sanding if necessary and removing all previous finishes.

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and dust-free before application.

Shake or stir the varnish well before use.

Apply a reasonable coat evenly using a paintbrush or short hair roller.

Allow to dry for a minimum of 2 hours before applying additional coats, with a recommendation of at least 3 coats for optimal durability.

Sanding lightly between coats may be required.

For heavy traffic areas, more coats may be necessary.

Allow the final coat to dry for a minimum of 24 hours before using the floor.

Usage

Wipe any spills immediately to maintain the finish.

For general maintenance, use a damp mop or cloth with mild detergent if needed.

If the surface shows signs of wear, reapply a coat of varnish or use Libéron Wood Floor Reviver.

Allow all wood dyes to dry for a minimum of 8 hours before applying the varnish.

Keep brush strokes to a minimum to avoid lifting the color.

Do not exceed a 10% dilution of varnish with Libéron Palette Wood Dye (100ml Dye to 1L Varnish).

Test the product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for color compatibility and end result.

Other information

Product may slightly darken some woods.

Remove as much product as possible from tools after use.

Do not dispose of residues and washing water/solvents in the sink, toilet, sewer, or bin to avoid environmental discharge.

Libéron is a French brand of V33, the leading manufacturer of paints and stains mainly for wood. The group owns the V33, Cecil, Diamantine, Libéron and Plastor brands. It was founded in 1953 in Domblans (Jura). In the 15th century, the royal abbey of Saint-Antoine des Champs obtained a privilege exempting craftsmen from paying taxes when they set up shop on its land. The Seine also provided cabinetmakers in particular with access to their raw materials. Georges Libéron made a name for himself at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900 with his antiseptic and parasiticide polish. One of its variations was the famous Oké paste. In 1990, V33 acquired the Libéron group, which specialised in cabinetmaking products and was the French leader in its field, having invented the legendary Black Bison wax, a decorative product for all surfaces. V33 and Libéron are very committed to protecting the environment: 50% of production is solvent-free, glycol ethers have been eliminated, and great care is taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
