General description

Zinsser ALLCOAT Exterior is a high-performance, water-based satin paint designed for long-term decoration of various exterior surfaces including timber, metal, masonry, plastic, concrete, and cladding. It forms a vapour-permeable, low-maintenance, water-shedding coating that is recoatable in just 1 hour. This paint contains a biocide to protect against fungal degradation, ensuring a durable finish that resists cracking, blistering, and flaking, even in severe weather conditions.

Installation

Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound, and free of contamination.

Remove all loose or peeling paint and chalky residue.

Sand edges of any remaining paint film until smooth.

New concrete and masonry must be cured for at least 30 days before priming.

Special precautions should be taken when preparing surfaces painted before 1960 due to potential lead content.

Avoid inhalation of dust and wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

Usage

Shake or stir well before use.

Apply with a synthetic bristle brush, roller, or sprayer.

For airless spraying, use a .017in tip and high-medium pressure (2000-2500 PSI).

Optimal application temperature is between 10°-32°C with humidity below 85%.

Avoid painting in direct sunlight and maintain a wet edge to prevent lapping.
