General description

Zinsser AllCoat® Exterior Satin is a high-performance, mould-resistant paint designed for ultimate protection of various exterior surfaces including wood, metal, masonry, plastic, concrete, and cladding. This paint forms a vapour-permeable, low-maintenance, water-shedding coating that is recoatable in just 1 hour. It is available in white, black, and a range of bases that can be tinted to any color, making it versatile for different applications.

Installation

Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound, and free of contamination.

Remove all loose or peeling paint and chalky residue.

Smooth edges of remaining paint films by sanding.

New concrete and masonry must be cured for at least 30 days before priming.

Take special precautions when preparing surfaces painted before 1960, as they may contain harmful lead.

Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding to avoid inhalation of dust.

Usage

Shake or stir well before use.

Apply with a synthetic bristle brush, roller, or sprayer.

For airless spraying, use a .017 in tip and high-medium pressure (2000-2500 PSI).

Avoid painting in direct sunlight and maintain a wet edge to prevent lapping.

Ensure to remove any existing mould and mildew before painting.
