Description

General description

Osmo Country Colour in Cedar Redwood is a high-quality wood finish designed for exterior wood surfaces. It offers exceptional weather and UV resistance, while also being highly water and dirt resistant. This product reduces wood swelling and shrinkage, providing a microporous, breathable finish that does not crack, peel, or flake. It requires no sanding for future applications, making it a convenient choice for maintaining your wood surfaces.

Moisture content of wood: max. 20%

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free before application.

Stir the product well before use and do not thin.

If possible, apply the first coat to all sides of the wood before installation.

Use an Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller to apply the finish thinly and evenly along the wood grain.

Allow to dry for approximately 10-12 hours under good ventilation before applying a second coat.

For renovation works, one coat on a clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

Usage

For additional protection against blue stain, rot, and insects, pre-treat the wood with Osmo WR Base Coat.

For outdoor surfaces requiring extra protection, apply one top coat of Osmo UV-Protection-Oil Clear after thorough drying.

Regular cleaning can be done with Osmo Decking Cleaner and a cleaning brush.

For maintenance, use Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean as needed.

Recoating is simple; just reapply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Other information

Available in 186 RAL Classic and 1950 NCS colour tones, starting from 2.5 litres per colour.

Contains biocidal film protection additives.

Using power washers may decrease coverage and increase maintenance frequency.

Old microporous stains must be cleaned thoroughly, and old paints and lacquers should be completely removed.

It is recommended to wear a dust mask during sanding works.

A trial application is advised for unfamiliar surfaces to assess the finished appearance.

osmo country colour is simply the best finish for any external outbuilding, shed, workshop, summer house, pergola etc. yes its expensive but you should find it for around £72-£75 for 2.5l but it spreads superbly and is worth its weight in the time spent from recoating if you used other brands
