Description

General description

Osmo Uviwax® UV-Protection is a unique non-yellowing UV protection solution designed for wood surfaces. It offers excellent UV resistance, is water and dirt resistant, and is saliva-resistant and sweatproof, making it suitable for children's toys. The microporous, breathable finish does not crack, peel, or flake, and it allows for easy spot repairs without the need for sanding.

Drying time: approx. 3-4 hours under good ventilation

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Stir well before use and do not thin the product.

Apply using an Osmo Flat Brush or a spray coating method, spreading thinly and evenly along the wood grain.

Allow to dry for 3-4 hours before applying a second coat if necessary.

For renovation works, one coat is usually sufficient on a clean and dry surface.

Usage

Regular cleaning can be done by dust mopping.

Damp mopping should be performed using Osmo Spray-Cleaner.

For occasional maintenance, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

Recoating is simple; just apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Other information

Old microporous stains must be cleaned thoroughly, and old paints and lacquers should be completely removed.

For very resinous woods, degrease with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner.

Do not mix with other finishes; Uviwax® UV-Protection should be used alone.

Allow the finish to fully cure before heavy usage.
