Description

General description

Osmo Wood Wax Finish Satin in Light Steamed Beech offers all-round protection for interior wood surfaces. This product allows the wood grain to remain visible with transparent tones, while intensive tones can hide the grain. It is highly durable, water and dirt resistant, and can withstand common liquid spillages such as water, juice, tea, cola, and wine. Additionally, it is saliva-resistant and sweatproof, making it suitable for children's toys. The microporous, breathable finish does not crack, peel, or flake, and no sanding is necessary for spot repairs or future applications.

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Remove old microporous stains thoroughly and completely strip old paints and lacquers.

Fill small cracks, larger joints, or holes with Osmo Wood Filler.

Sand the wood surface carefully, starting with coarse sandpaper; final sanding for flooring should be P120-150, and for furniture, P220-240.

Remove sanding dust before applying the finish.

If possible, apply the first coat to all sides before installation.

Usage

For transparent color (one coat): Use Osmo Flat Brush, Oil Finish Applicator Fleece, or Microfibre Roller to apply very thinly along the wood grain.

For a more subtle stained effect, apply thinly with a lint-free cloth and wipe away cleanly within 20 minutes.

For intensive color (two coats): Apply very thinly with Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller, ensuring the second coat is also thin.

For mechanically loaded areas like flooring, it is recommended to use a maximum of one coat and a thin top coat with clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original.

For white flooring, use a top coat with lightly white pigmented Osmo Polyx®-Oil Tints 3040 White.

Choose color tones that match or complement the natural tone of the wood.

Other information

Regular cleaning can be done using the green Dust-Mop from the Osmo Mop Cleaning Kit for Floors.

Damp mopping can be performed with Osmo Wash and Care or Osmo Spray-Mop.

For occasional maintenance, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

Recoating is simple; just reapply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.
