Description

General description

Osmo Wood Wax Finish Satin in Pine is designed for all interior wood surfaces, providing all-round protection while allowing the wood grain to remain visible. This durable and hardwearing finish is water and dirt resistant, and can withstand common liquid spillages such as water, juice, tea, cola, and wine. It is also saliva-resistant and sweatproof, making it suitable for children's toys. The microporous, breathable finish does not crack, peel, or flake, and spot repairs or future applications can be done without sanding.

Drying time on floors: approx. 24 hours (at 23 °C and 50% relative humidity)

Full cure time: 2-3 weeks

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Remove old microporous stains thoroughly and completely strip old paints and lacquers.

Fill small cracks and larger joints or holes with Osmo Wood Filler.

Sand the wood surface carefully, starting with coarse sandpaper; final sanding for flooring should be P120-150 and for furniture P220-240.

Remove sanding dust before applying the finish.

For best results, apply the first coat to all sides of the wood before installation.

Usage

For transparent color (one coat): Use an Osmo Flat Brush, Oil Finish Applicator Fleece, or Microfibre Roller to apply very thinly along the wood grain.

For a subtle stained effect, apply with a lint-free cloth and wipe away within 20 minutes.

For intensive color (two coats): Apply thinly with an Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller, allowing the second coat to dry before applying.

For flooring, it is recommended to use a thin top coat of clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original.

Choose color tones that match or complement the natural wood tone, and conduct a trial application.

Regular cleaning can be done with the Osmo Mop Cleaning Kit, and maintenance can be performed using Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.
