Description

General description

Osmo Wood Wax Finish Satin in Cognac is designed for all-round protection of interior wood surfaces. This product allows the wood grain to remain visible with transparent tones, while intensive tones can hide the grain. It is highly durable, water and dirt resistant, and can withstand common liquid spillages such as water, juice, tea, cola, and wine. Additionally, it is saliva-resistant and sweatproof, making it suitable for children's toys. The microporous, breathable finish does not crack, peel, or flake, and spot repairs or future applications can be done without sanding.

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Remove old microporous stains thoroughly and completely strip old paints and lacquers.

Fill small cracks and larger joints or holes with Osmo Wood Filler.

Sand the wood surface carefully, starting with coarse sandpaper; use P120-150 for flooring and P220-240 for furniture.

Remove sanding dust before applying the finish.

For best results, apply the first coat to all sides of the wood before installation.

Usage

For transparent color (one coat): use Osmo Flat Brush, Oil Finish Applicator Fleece, or Microfibre Roller to apply thinly along the wood grain.

For a subtle stained effect, apply with a lint-free cloth and wipe away within 20 minutes.

For intensive color (two coats): apply thinly with Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller, allowing the second coat to dry before applying.

For flooring, it is recommended to use a thin top coat of clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original.

For white flooring, use a top coat with lightly white pigmented Osmo Polyx®-Oil Tints 3040 White.

Regular cleaning can be done with the green Dust-Mop from the Osmo Mop Cleaning Kit and damp mopping with Osmo Wash and Care.

For maintenance, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

Recoating is simple; just apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when wear becomes visible.

Other information

Oils enhance the natural color tone of wood, providing a permanent wet effect.

For dark and extractive-rich hardwoods, apply Osmo Wood Wax Finish Clear Extra Thin.

Trial application is recommended to determine the final appearance.

Caution: Apply max. one coat thinly to cabinet interiors and drawers.

Using general cleaners may increase maintenance frequency.
