Ronseal Direct to Metal Paint is a high-quality, water-based paint designed to provide a tough and durable finish for metal surfaces. It can be applied directly to rust without the need for a primer, making it ideal for minimal preparation. This paint is showerproof in just 30 minutes and offers up to 15 years of protection, suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Installation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, and grease

Remove loose rust or paint with a wire brush or sandpaper

For previously painted surfaces, lightly sand or remove flaking paint

Stir the paint thoroughly before application

Apply with a brush, roller, or spray, diluting with water if necessary for spraying

Apply 2 to 3 coats, allowing 2 to 4 hours between coats

Usage

Apply directly to rusted or bare metal surfaces without primer

Ensure proper surface preparation for best results and longevity

Allow each coat to dry for the recommended time before applying the next

Touch dry in 30 minutes after the final coat
