The Dryzone 4″ (100 mm) Humidistat Timer Pullcord Fan is a high-performance ventilation unit designed to remove damp air from kitchens, large bathrooms and other wet areas. Activated automatically by its built-in humidistat, the fan engages when relative humidity reaches levels that could lead to condensation or mould growth. This makes it ideal for controlling internal moisture levels and supporting the long-term management of damp-prone properties. With quiet, powerful extraction, the fan is suitable for domestic installations requiring compliance with Parts L and F of UK Building Regulations. It operates on a 220-240 V supply and offers two-speed functionality with override and boost settings for additional flexibility. On high speed, it extracts up to 96.8 m³/hr (26.9 l/s) and on low speed 28.8 m³/hr (8 l/s), making it suitable for rooms with varying ventilation needs. Despite its power, noise levels remain low at a maximum of 31.4 dB. The fan is rated IPX4 for protection against moisture ingress, making it appropriate for installation in humid environments. It can be ducted up to 6 metres and features a 4" (100 mm) diameter for easy integration into standard ducting systems. With a compact, discreet white casing and an energy-efficient 3.5 W motor, it blends performance with low operational impact. For basement waterproofing projects, the fan can assist in maintaining appropriate relative humidity levels and contribute to the environmental control needed to achieve a Grade 3 internal environment under BS 8102:2009.
