General description

Smartseal Natural Stone Sealer WET LOOK is a water-based protective sealer that creates a durable, clear silk/satin finish. It is suitable for both internal and external surfaces made from sandstone (with exceptions), limestone, slate, terracotta, quarry and Victorian tiles, brick pavers, and any textured stone or masonry surfaces. This rapid-drying sealer is easy to apply and provides protection against oil and water-based stains, making it ideal for natural stone and slate surfaces. It is suitable for rough and absorbent surfaces and can be used indoors or outdoors.

Technical specifications

Coverage Ratios: Average 5-12 m² per litre depending on the texture and porosity of the surface.

Application Temperature: Above 15°C and below 23°C.

Drying Time: Minimum 60 minutes before applying a second coat.

Compatibility and accessories

Not suitable for polished stone and ceramic glazed surfaces.

Not recommended for Kandla Grey (mid and light grey) sandstone.

For best cleaning results, use Patio Clean Xtreme.

Use Smartseal Residue Remover if a sweep-in pointing compound has been used within the last 6 months.

Installation

Ensure the surface is completely dry, clean, and free from debris before application.

Apply the sealer thinly and evenly using a low-pressure sprayer, roller, microfibre mop, paintbrush, or soft cloth.

Avoid leaving application marks or allowing the product to pool on the surface.

Remove any excess product within 45 minutes of application.

Protect areas not being sealed with masking materials.

Usage

Apply only if no rain is forecast for at least 8 hours.

For an even finish, apply the product in the opposite direction for the second coat.

Multiple coats can be applied to achieve the desired finish.

Conduct a stain test if sealing over colored grouts.
