General description

Osmo Country Colour in Signal Red is a high-quality wood finish designed for exterior surfaces. It offers exceptional weather and UV resistance, ensuring long-lasting protection for your wood. This microporous, breathable finish allows the wood to breathe without cracking, peeling, or flaking, while also reducing wood swelling and shrinkage. The product is ready to use and requires no thinning or sanding for future applications.

Surface preparation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Remove old microporous stains thoroughly.

Completely remove old paints and lacquers.

Installation

Apply the first coat to all sides of the wood before installation if possible.

Use an Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller for application.

Apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain.

Allow to dry for approximately 10-12 hours under good ventilation before applying a second coat.

Usage

For renovation works, one coat on a clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

For additional protection against blue stain, rot, and insects, pre-treat the wood with Osmo WR Base Coat.

For surfaces needing extra protection, apply one top coat of Osmo UV-Protection-Oil Clear after drying.

Regular cleaning can be done with Osmo Decking Cleaner and a cleaning brush.

For maintenance, use Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean as needed.

Recoating can be done by simply applying one coat onto the clean and dry surface when wear becomes visible.

Available in 186 RAL Classic and 1950 NCS colour tones.

Trusted for decades, Osmo Country Colour is also available with biocidal film protection additives.

Using power washers may decrease coverage and increase maintenance frequency.

osmo country colour is simply the best finish for any external outbuilding, shed, workshop, summer house, pergola etc. yes its expensive but you should find it for around £72-£75 for 2.5l but it spreads superbly and is worth its weight in the time spent from recoating if you used other brands
