Installation

Before you start

Choose a warm, dry day (above 10°C) and ensure the wood is dry. Always wear a mask when sanding to avoid inhaling dust.

How to prepare stained or unvarnished wood

1. Thoroughly sand the wood with 120 grit sandpaper to remove old stain or varnish.
2. Wipe down with white spirit and a cloth to remove dust and clean the surface.

1. Lightly sand the wood to smooth out any imperfections.
2. Wipe down with white spirit to remove dust and dirt.

Usage

Application

1. Stir the woodstain thoroughly to mix the colour pigments.
2. Test the woodstain on a small hidden area to ensure satisfaction with the colour.
3. Paint in the direction of the grain, allowing four hours between coats. It will be rainproof in 30 minutes.
4. Lightly sand the wood before applying the third coat for better adhesion and a smoother finish.

After four hours, the woodstain will be completely dry. If any stain gets on your skin, it can be washed off with warm, soapy water.

Aftercare

Once dry, maintain your stained surfaces by regularly cleaning them to remove dirt and grime. Clean brushes with warm, soapy water. For scratches or damage, sand the affected area and repeat the staining process as needed.
