General description

Osmo Wood Wax Finish Satin in White is designed for all-round protection of interior wood surfaces. It allows the wood grain to remain visible with transparent tones, while intensive tones can hide the grain. This finish is highly durable, water and dirt resistant, and can withstand common liquid spills such as water, juice, tea, cola, and wine. It is also saliva-resistant and sweatproof, making it suitable for children's toys. The microporous, breathable finish does not crack, peel, or flake, and spot repairs or future applications can be done without sanding.

Installation

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free.

Remove old microporous stains thoroughly and completely strip old paints and lacquers.

Fill small cracks and larger joints or holes with Osmo Wood Filler.

Sand the wood surface carefully, starting with coarse sandpaper (P120-150 for flooring, P220-240 for furniture).

Remove sanding dust before applying the finish.

For best results, apply the first coat to all sides of the wood before installation.

Usage

For transparent color: Apply one coat with an Osmo Flat Brush, Oil Finish Applicator Fleece, or Microfibre Roller, spreading thinly along the wood grain.

For a subtle stained effect: Apply thinly with a lint-free cloth and wipe away within 20 minutes.

For intensive color: Apply two thin coats with an Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller, allowing proper drying time between coats.

For flooring, it is recommended to apply a thin top coat with clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original.

For white flooring, use a top coat with lightly white pigmented Osmo Polyx®-Oil Tints 3040 White.

Regular cleaning can be done with the green Dust-Mop from the Osmo Mop Cleaning Kit, and damp mopping with Osmo Wash and Care or Osmo Spray-Mop.

For maintenance, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner or Osmo Maintenance Oil.

Recoating is simple; just apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when wear becomes visible.

Other information

Trial application is recommended, especially for unfamiliar surfaces.

Applying the product too generously or insufficient ventilation can delay drying time and increase the typical smell of oil.

For dark and extractive-rich hardwoods, use Osmo Wood Wax Finish Clear Extra Thin.

Caution: Apply max. one coat thinly to cabinet interiors and drawers.
