Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Varnish in Medium Oak offers a stunning finish that enhances the natural beauty of your wooden floors while providing robust protection against everyday wear and tear. This tough, non-yellowing varnish dries quickly and has a low odour, ensuring a pleasant application experience.

Installation

Ensure the room temperature is above 10 degrees Celsius and remove all furniture.

Open doors and windows for ventilation.

For unvarnished floors, sand with 120 grit sandpaper, preferably using a floor sander for efficiency.

Vacuum and wipe the floor with white spirit to prepare.

For previously varnished floors, lightly sand with 120 grit sandpaper and follow the same cleaning steps.

Stir the varnish well and test the colour on a small area.

Apply with a 4” brush, starting from the corner furthest from the door, working along two floorboards at a time.

Allow two hours for the first coat to dry before applying the second coat.

Lightly sand with 240 grit sandpaper before the third coat, then wipe with a damp cloth before application.

Your floor will be ready to walk on in two hours and should not have furniture placed on it for 24 hours.

After 72 hours, the floor will achieve its maximum hardness.

Usage

After 72 hours, the floor can be vacuumed and swept without damage.

To maintain the finish, clean dirt and grit promptly and use a damp microfiber cloth for surface stains.

Brushes can be cleaned easily with warm soapy water.

Other information

If scratches or damage occur, apply three coats of varnish to repair, or use the Scratch Repair Kit for easy fixes.
