General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. This product effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicles, and pressure washing, making your block paving look like new. It is suitable for application on old block paving, with the possibility of requiring two coats for a uniform finish.

Technical specifications

Coverage: 3 m²/litre on average (approximately 2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller

Drying time: 3 hours before re-sanding; 2 hours between coats if changing sand color

Sealer tack-free time: 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic: Allowed after 4 hours at 20°C

Vehicle traffic: Minimum 24 hours at 20°C

Temperature range for application: 12°C to 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all surface debris and muck from joints.

Leave paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For original sand color: Apply one coat of Block Magic with a roller, leave to dry, re-sand with kiln-dried sand, and apply a clear sealer.

For changing sand color: Apply two coats of Block Magic with a roller, ensuring 2 hours between coats, and re-sand with kiln-dried sand.

Ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 8 hours after application.

Usage

Block Magic is designed to recolor and protect block paving.

It is UV stable, color fast, stain resistant, and hard-wearing.

For optimal results, ensure the area is clean and dry before application.

After applying the sealer, expect protection lasting between 3-5 years, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.

Other information

Do not use on clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane.

All equipment should be cleaned with Smartseal cleaning fluid after use.

Deicing salts should not be applied directly on sealed block paving.

Health & Safety: Flammable liquid; keep application area well ventilated and wear appropriate protective gear.

Technical data available upon request, including certification from the TRL for skid resistance.
