General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. It effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicles, and pressure washing, making your block paving look like new again. This product is suitable for various paving types, but it is important to note that it should not be used on clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane products.

Technical specifications

Coverage: 3 m²/litre on average (may reduce to 2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller

Drying time: Approximately 3 hours before re-sanding

Sealer tack-free time: 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic allowed after: 4 hours at 20°C

Vehicle traffic allowed after: Minimum 24 hours at 20°C

Temperature range for application: Between 12°C and 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all surface debris and muck from joints.

Leave paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For changing sand color, apply two coats of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between each coat.

After applying, ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 8 hours.

Re-sand the surface area with kiln-dried sand after the Block Magic has dried.

For best results, compact the sand with a wacker plate before applying the sealer.

Usage

Apply one coat of Block Magic by brush or roller.

For old or poorly conditioned pavers, two coats may be necessary for a uniform finish.

After applying the sealer, expect 3-5 years of protection, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.
