Description

General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. This product effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicles, and pressure washing, making your paving look like new again. It is suitable for a variety of paving surfaces, but should not be used on clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane products.

Technical specifications

Coverage: 3 m²/litre on average (may reduce to 2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller

Drying time: Approximately 3 hours

Sealer tack-free time: 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic allowed after: 4 hours at 20°C

Vehicle traffic allowed after: Minimum 24 hours at 20°C

Temperature range for application: Between 12°C and 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all debris and muck from joints.

Leave paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For original sand color: Apply one coat of Block Magic with a roller, then re-sand the surface with kiln-dried sand and apply a clear sealer.

For changing sand color: Apply two coats of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between coats, and ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 8 hours after application.

Usage

Expect 3-5 years of protection after applying the sealer, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.

Clean all equipment with Smartseal cleaning fluid after use.

Avoid applying deicing salts directly on sealed block paving.
