Description

General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. This product effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicle traffic, and pressure washing, making your paving look like new again. It is suitable for use on most block paving surfaces, but should not be used on clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane products.

Technical specifications

Coverage: 3 m²/litre on average (may reduce to 2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller

Drying time: Approximately 3 hours before re-sanding

Sealer tack-free time: 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic permissible: After 4 hours at 20°C

Vehicle traffic permissible: After 24 hours at 20°C

Temperature range for application: Between 12°C and 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

To ensure optimal results, follow these application guidelines:

Pressure wash the paving to remove all surface debris and muck from the joints.

Allow the paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For changing the sand color, re-sand the surface area with kiln-dried sand.

Apply one coat of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between coats if changing color.

Ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 8 hours after application.

After applying the sealer, sweep kiln-dried sand into the joints and compact with a wacker plate.

Usage

Block Magic is designed to be applied in two different methods depending on whether you want to keep the sand's original color or change it. For both methods, ensure the paving is clean and dry before application. After applying the product, expect to have between 3-5 years of protection, depending on factors such as traffic and weather conditions.
