General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. This product effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicles, and pressure washing, making your paving look like new. It is suitable for use on most block paving surfaces, but should not be used on clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane products.

Coverage: Approximately 3 m²/litre (around 2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller

Drying time: 3 hours before re-sanding; sealer tack-free within 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic allowed after 4 hours; vehicles after 24 hours at 20°C

Temperature range for application: Above 12°C and below 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all debris and dirt from joints.

Leave paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For original sand color: Apply one coat of Block Magic with a roller, then re-sand with kiln-dried sand.

For changing sand color: Apply two coats of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between coats.

Ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 8 hours after application.

Usage

Block Magic transforms old block paving by recoloring and protecting it from future color loss, weeds, algae, and staining.

After applying the sealer, expect 3-5 years of protection, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.

Other information

Smartseal Block Paving sealer has been tested by the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) and meets the SRV (Skid Resistance Value) for local authority pedestrian areas.

Health & Safety: Flammable liquid; keep application area well ventilated and wear appropriate protective gear (respirator, gloves, goggles).
