Description

General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. It effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicles, and pressure washing, making your paving look like new. This product is suitable for use on most block paving surfaces, but it is important to note that it should not be used on clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane products.

Technical specifications

Coverage: Approximately 3 m²/litre (around 2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller

Drying time: Tack-free within 2 hours at 20°C; foot traffic allowed after 4 hours; vehicles should remain off for at least 24 hours

Temperature range for application: Between 12°C and 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all surface debris and muck from joints.

Leave paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For changing sand color, re-sand the surface area with kiln-dried sand.

Apply one or two coats of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between coats if changing color.

Ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 8 hours after application.

Usage

For best results, apply a coat of Smartseal Block Paving Sealer (MATT or SILK) after the Block Magic has dried.

Expect 3-5 years of protection after applying the sealer, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.

Clean all equipment with Smartseal cleaning fluid after use.

Other information

Smartseal Block Paving sealer has been tested by the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) and meets the SRV (Skid Resistance Value) for local authority pedestrian areas.

All materials comply with ISO 9002 for Quality Assurance.

Health & Safety: Flammable liquid; keep application area well ventilated and wear appropriate protective gear (respirator, gloves, goggles).
