Description

General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. This product effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicles, and pressure washing, ensuring your paving looks like new. It is suitable for application on old or poorly conditioned pavers, which may require two coats for a uniform finish. Block Magic is not recommended for use on clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane.

Technical specifications

Coverage: 3 m²/litre on average (may reduce to 2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller

Drying time: Approximately 3 hours before re-sanding

Sealer tack-free time: 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic: Permitted after 4 hours

Vehicle traffic: Minimum 24 hours at 20°C

Application temperature range: 12°C to 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Pressure wash the paving to remove all surface debris and muck from joints.

Leave the paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For original sand color: Apply one coat of Block Magic with a roller, leave to dry, re-sand with kiln-dried sand, and apply a clear sealer.

For changing sand color: Apply two coats of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between coats, and ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 8 hours after application.

Usage

Expect 3-5 years of protection after applying the sealer, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.

Clean all equipment with Smartseal cleaning fluid after use.

Avoid applying deicing salts directly on sealed block paving.

Smartseal Block Paving sealer has been tested by the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) for skid resistance.

All materials comply with ISO 9002 for Quality Assurance.
