General description

Smartseal Patio Sealer is designed to protect patio slabs from staining and weed growth while enhancing the color and aesthetic appeal of both new and mature concrete paving slabs. This high-quality sealer increases abrasion resistance, protects pointing from erosion, and provides a barrier against contaminants, making maintenance easier.

First coat coverage: approx 4 sq metres per litre

Tack-free time: 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic permissible after: 4 hours

Preparation

New patios should be swept clean with sufficient pointing in the joints.

Existing paving must be pressure washed to remove surface debris.

Contaminated areas with weeds and moss should be treated with Smartseal Moss Clear.

Oil should be removed using Smartseal Oil Remover.

Allow the treated area to dry, then re-sand and compact the joints with clean kiln-dried sand.

Ensure moisture in the paver and sand is minimized to avoid sealer penetration issues.

Usage

Apply using a sprayer unit or roller.

A two-coat application is required for full coverage of jointing sand.

Do not apply during rain or when ground temperature is outside the recommended range.

Clean all equipment with Smartseal cleaning fluid after use.

BS5750/ISO9000 quality approved.

Flammable liquid; keep the application area well ventilated and do not smoke.

Wear a respirator during application.

Tested by the TRL for Skid Resistance Value suitable for local authority pedestrian areas.
