General description

The Climashield Masonry Protection Cream is a VOC-free, water-based protective treatment designed for brickwork, masonry, and render. This deeply penetrating cream acts as a highly effective damp proofer and brick sealer, forming a robust barrier against penetrating damp while allowing the substrate to breathe and release trapped moisture.

Coverage: 5 m² per litre on standard brickwork; up to 10 m² per litre on dense, less absorbent surfaces

Minimum application temperature: 10°C

Chemical composition: Viscous masonry cream based on Advanced Silane/Siloxane chemistry

Durability: Lasts up to 25 years

Compatibility and accessories

Can be painted over with specialist silicate-based masonry paints (e.g., Seciltek & Earthborn) after curing for 7 days

Not suitable for use over K Rend or Monocouche render systems

Can be used on softwood (e.g., pine), but not recommended for hardwoods (e.g., oak, teak, mahogany)

Installation

Ensure the substrate is dry prior to application to allow proper absorption

Can be applied using a roller or paintbrush

High viscosity allows for a drip-free application

Typically, only one heavy application is required

Penetration and absorption time: 30 minutes to several hours, depending on surface porosity

Usage

Provides long-lasting protection against water penetration and damp spread

Helps improve thermal efficiency, potentially leading to energy savings of 6% to 29% when used with other green deal systems

Maintains the original dry appearance of the substrate
