General description

Climashield Masonry Protection Cream is a VOC-free, water-based protective treatment designed to waterproof brickwork, masonry, and render. This deeply penetrating cream acts as a highly effective damp proofer and brick sealer, forming a robust barrier against penetrating damp while allowing the substrate to breathe, thus preventing moisture buildup.

Technical specifications

Chemical composition: Viscous masonry cream based on Advanced Silane/Siloxane chemistry

Coverage: 5 m² per litre on standard brickwork; up to 10 m² per litre on dense, less absorbent surfaces

Minimum application temperature: 10°C

Durability: Lasts up to 25 years

Installation

The substrate must be dry prior to application to ensure proper absorption

Can be applied using a roller or paintbrush

One heavy application is generally sufficient

Penetration and absorption time: 30 minutes to several hours, depending on surface porosity

Usage

Ideal for brickwork, stonework, and most forms of unprotected masonry

Can be painted over with specialist silicate-based masonry paints after a curing period of 7 days

Not recommended for hardwoods like oak, teak, and mahogany

Provides additional barrier to flooding when used as part of an existing flood protection system

Store in a cool, dark place to prevent contamination

Use opened containers quickly and close them immediately after use
