Description

General description

The Climashield Masonry Protection Cream is a VOC-free, water-based protective treatment designed to waterproof brickwork, masonry, and render. This deeply penetrating cream acts as a highly effective damp proofer and brick sealer, forming a robust barrier against penetrating damp while allowing the substrate to breathe, thus preventing moisture buildup.

Coverage: 5 m² per litre on standard brickwork; up to 10 m² per litre on dense, less absorbent surfaces

Installation

The substrate must be dry prior to application to ensure proper absorption

Can be applied using a roller or paintbrush

Application is drip and run-free due to high viscosity

One heavy application is generally sufficient

Penetration and absorption time: 30 minutes to several hours, depending on surface porosity

Usage

Ideal for brickwork, stonework, and most forms of unprotected masonry

Can be painted over with specialist silicate-based masonry paints after curing (7 days recommended)

Not recommended for hardwoods like oak, teak, and mahogany

Provides an additional barrier to flooding as part of existing flood protection systems

Can improve thermal efficiency, potentially leading to energy savings of 6% to 29% when used with other green deal systems

Store in a cool, dark place to prevent contamination

Use opened containers quickly and close them immediately after use
